This place is like Middle Eastern grocery store then Asian food store.  It had a good price on produce.  It  had a great selection of Middle Eastern spice you could get.
I was quite surprised to discover Asia Foods in Culver City, a tiny Indian grocery store on Venice Blvd.  Go figure on the name though.  Should be called "South Asia Foods" at the least.
Despite the small size of the grocery (about as big as a neighborhood convenience store), they do manage to pack a fair supply of spices, canned goods, extracts, mixes, etc. from India. You can buy things like coconut milk, vindaloo marinade, garam masala, and different types of dried chilies and daal. I got some amchur powder, which is dried green mangos which are pulverized into a powder.
Amazingly, they do have a small section along a side wall that shelves various produce like eggplants, spinach, tomatoes, etc. The prices were average, and their offerings weren't particularly vast nor unusual. I think you can get similar stuff at many farmers markets or even Trader Joe's for the same or better prices.
They have a couple of freezers filled with frozen goods, such as samosas, chicken tikka masala, and naan breads in various brands. Not too expensive either - I picked up a package of aloo paratha and garlic naan for $2 each.
Near the cashier they sell a bunch of snack items like papadum, chikkara, and other crunchy, addictive Indian munchies (okay, junk food).
It isn't nearly as well stocked as, for example, India Sweets and Spices, nor does it have any pre-made hot foods to buy. If you're looking for special Indian ingredients or items that are very regionally oriented, you might be out of luck here. But again, if you're in the area and looking for more "general" Indian groceries, it's not a bad option.

This is a pakistani grocery store. It's not huge, but it's larger and better-stocked than India Sweets 'n Spices down the road a bit on Venice (and Kavita Grocery across the street). Samosa House down the street a bit is larger but you get the same exact food at Asia Foods for cheaper. A decent amount of frozen goods (rotis, parathas, cutlets, samosas, etc.) from a variety of brands (I like Deep brand the best). They also have a halal butcher shop area. No restaurant here.
They have some fresh asian produce (e.g., long beans, etc.) which is a huge plus for me and the prices are def. reasonable. Unlike many south asian places, the prices here are not arbitrary and made up on the spot by the cashier - everything is clearly labeled.
It's in a small shopping plaza so parking is never an issue for me.
Tip: Look out for the specials - really great deals! If you don't see any easily, ask the cashier.

Asia Foods is a great store for your Halal Meat needs. I've been going here with my family for about 13 years now, and everytime we get clean, fresh meat, and specifically cut just the way you want it. The staff will let you pick which piece you want, then clean it and cut as you want. Most stores don't do everything as attentively.
They also provide great southern-indian and pakistani mix's, beans, dried goods, and fresh vegetables are also available.
Definitely a store for one to visit if in need of Indian/Pakistani grocery supples.

My South-African-Indian neighbor recommended Asia Foods to me the other day after she showed me how she makes curry.  The store is small but chock-full of curries, spices, and dry goods.  A number of customers were buying the packets of instant prepared curries and stews (like Hamburger Helper type-things).
There is a limited produce section with bins of tropical fruit and vegetables. There is a meat counter in the back; I have not ordered meat here but when I was in the store a customer was ordering a chicken cut a very specific way and the staff was happy to oblige her.
The store also has a wide selection of phone cards. Lots of phone cards.
I brought home a bottle of lychee juice (delicious), some packaged naan from the refrigerator (pop it in the oven, delicious), a jar of garlic-ginger paste (wow! instant gourmet chef), and a kulfi ice cream bar from the small freezer next to the cash register.
The staff is friendly...and international...and willing to help you with whatever you need. We had a nice time visiting this market.
I'm docking two stars because the store is jam-packed with stuff and somewhat hard to navigate.
Lot parking. This shop is located in the mini-mall under East Wind Thai restaurant. Credit cards accepted. Please note there is no prepared food counter like many Indian markets in this area.

Asia Foods Grocery Store - resonably priced, fresh(er) vege & meat
there are very few indian grocery stores in santa monica / culver city. So getting fresh ingrediants without the "journey" to arteisa and not paying a tonne for old stuff, this store is a find. highlight - fresh goat meat from butcher and daily made anjira.
