Food Law in Asia
Food Regulation in Asia
Food Regulation in Asia is a 3 credit hour, graduate and undergraduate level, Internet-based, college course offered by Michigan State University designed for those who must understand the legal and regulatory complexities of the flow of food and agricultural products in Asia. The first part of the course looks at country-specific food laws, then moves to the international institutions, and then combines these two parts into a comparative analysis and introduces current and emerging issues. International Food Laws and Regulations is one in our series of region-specific, Internet-based, food law courses comprising our International Food Law Certificate Program sponsored by the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Institute for Food Laws and Regulations here at Michigan State University.
The Lead Instructor is Michael T. Roberts, an attorney with Venable in Washington, D.C. Mr. Roberts is a prolific and respected author, lecturer, and commentator nationally and internationally on matters relating to food and agricultural law and policy. He has taught classes on food and agricultural law topics in the U.S., England, Belgium, and Romania. In the summer of 2006, he taught an international trade law course with an emphasis on food and agriculture issues at Cambridge University in England. He is also an experienced teacher and trainer of food law to food executives and scientists. Mr. Roberts is joined by an international faculty of food law and food industry professionals.
